Gennie Diaz moved with her family to Arkansas in the 1990s. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she fell madly in love with the Ozarks. She spends her free time listening to roots music, hanging in the Hog Pen, accosting strangers' dogs, and soaking up Boston Mountain bluffs.
